Take a sickie. LMAO. That's what I've done for tomorrow, but I didn't refer to it as such. I don't think I could talk to my boss with a straight face while telling her I needed to take a sickie. :lol:

We don't actually ring in and say "I'm taking a sickie today". We just call in and try to sound horrible and cough and moan a bit (even though we are not sick).

So you just refer to it that way, you don't actually tell your boss "I'm taking a sickie". Do you put on your best "I'm this close to death" voice when you call out?

That's right, if they found out we actually took a sickie, we would be in trouble. I find that if I call work as soon as I wake up, then I sound sufficiently half-dead.

haha u guys are great...i agree with u creedfan47a ... whenver i really really dont wanna go to school in any way...which is most days but when its really unbearable i tell my parents im not feeling well as sooon as i get up that way it sounds liek i actually am sick...then i "suddenly recover" in a cpl of hours lol
