Power Outages

Isn't this power outage thing crazy? Hope no CreedFeeders are affected badly.

I'm in Ct, Steve and they're saying some parts of the state have been hit but so far I have power. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed though. It's amazing, they're saying it's out all the way to OH and as far south as NJ.

Yeah it is crazy, I've been watching it on our news channel, but what I don't understand is why are people running/walking on the motorways and stuff?

Are they all going home from somewhere? There are like thousands of them I thought it looked pretty funny :lol:

But yeah anyway it is crazy, that really sucks, I hope the power is gonna be working again soon...

Hayley, they are walking because none of the trains have power, the subways are all down, the tunnels are without power, the traffic lights are all out. We are not affected in the Philly/So. Jersey area but I do know that North Jersey is out. This really sucks for those poor people especially in this horrible heat.

I heard about it at work on the radio..
I'm right outside Chicago, It's creepy that the
power is out into parts of Ohio..from New York, Thats
ALOT of territory!!!!!!!

I was surprised that they said it wasn't from terrorism. I think its kinda fishy

So far, it's not terrorist-related, but who knows? There seems to have been some power grid overload at Niagara Falls or something, which would explain the Ottawa outage as well. I called my dad in R.I., and he said the state hadn't been affected. They have canceled the Mets/Giants game and the New York Liberty game as well. It's pretty nuts. They showed a picture on the news of JFK Airport. It was wall-to-wall people, just like a pit at a concert. Insane.

I hope your friend is OK, Julie

So far, from the news reports they have on at work, no one's panicking or looting or anything, and power is starting to come back. I just hope it comes back before nightfall, because then it could get ugly.
