My Top Five Favorite Albums of All Time

Greetings all. I know I've been away for quite some time, had a medical emergency going on this past Thanksgiving, a surgery that I'm still recovering from.

Now then, this thread is one that I've wanted to share with you all for a few months now but I just got around to it. This thread is my personal list of albums that I could listen to constantly without becoming bored.

Every album on this list I've listened to front to back at least once, but again, the albums on this list are ones that I could keep playing over and over again.

1. Alter Bridge's AB III. This record is just awesome in every way, deep lyrics and awesome music.

2. Mudvayne's fifth and self titled album. From start to finish this album is just crushing.

3. Creed's fourth release, Full Circle. I know I clamored alot about this rercord back when it was released and it has lost some of it's power since then but it is still one of those special albums.

4. The debut album by Ron Pope, Daylight. A friend of mine introduced me to him a few months ago and I am in love with his music.

5. Pantera's seventh official album, third by a major label, Far Beyond Driven. Dimebag shines brightest on this record with iconic riffs like those heard on I'm Broken and 5 Minutes Alone. Completely awesome!

Well there ya have it. I welcome any discussion with fans of these records.

Re: My Top Five Favorite Albums of All Time

I like AB III as well, even better, I think, than the first two releases. Full Circle is OK, but I'm still a much bigger fan of MOP and HC. To be honest, it's been a while since I listened to FC. I can't speak to the other albums, as I've not heard them. It's always hard to pick a top 5 or 10 of anything, but I'll contribute my 5 that I can play over and over and never tire of them.

Fear of a Blank Planet -- Porcupine Tree. This is the album that got me into this phenomenal band. I became quite obsessed with them and the obsession hasn't let up. It's been going on for five years now .

Year Zero -- Nine Inch Nails. I adore almost everything Trent Reznor has ever done, but this album really hit me, partly because of the music and partly because of its theme. It really spoke to me and it was good to see Trent look outside himself for a change.

Degradation Trip Vols. 1 and 2. I'm a major Alice In Chains fan, and this solo effort from Jerry Cantrell completely blew me away. It never left my CD player for more than a year. I had copies for the car, the home and the portable. It's 25 songs of sorrow, hope and a little humor with classic Cantrell riffs and harmonies. Haunting album. It's probably in my top 10 all-time albums.

Lateralus/Aenima -- Tool. Ok, so it's two albums, but man, these never get boring. Both albums are journeys unto themselves, Lateralus even more so. Dunno if any of you remember Jango from these parts, but he's the one who got me into Tool, and they quickly entered my top 10 favorite bands. Thank you, Jango .

Master of Puppets -- Metallica...'nuf said.

Re: My Top Five Favorite Albums of All Time

Thanks Dogstar. In light of losing my closest friend on here (the recently banned TrulyAmazing), I'm recovering rather quickly and I hope to be in better shape physically for the holidays.

Thank you kindly for your well wishes.

Haha. I feel like this could be an ever changing list. Why do I just have to pick 5? How about 10!?
