A Christmas Thought
A Christmas Thought We’ve given thanks… it’s no surprise The holidays are here A family time with Christmas trees… A “happy” time of year Yet there are those who clearly see A completely different reality Christmas star’s lost in airborne explosions Thru moments of brutality Around the world the excitement That comes this time of year Has a different feel… Somewhat akin to fear The Holy Lands are not so “holy” Because of human greed It’s upon mankind’s weakness The negative forces feed Ask yourself, if you had the chance What kind of gift you’d give The world, and all her children That might help them live… If just one present were given In the next few weeks… The gift I’d give to all the world Would be to live in peace ©2004 Susan D.
