Hah, I just listened to that song. I love it...I love Follow the Sun Down the best, though

Yeah, Follow The Sun Down is awesome. It's got this mellow feel to it, and the vocals and lyrics as well as the music are very well done. Just a very cool song.

yeah, you can hear it really well on the opening verses to "Bare Bones" and "That's Enough" (and on a LOT of the Devine album)...he can push into the higher register very well, but the control he has on the lower register evinces him as a baritone...but, baritones can train themselves to hit the higher notes like a tenor, but it's very rare (ESPECIALLY today), but, back in the 80s, three I can think of right off the bat is Chris Cornell, David Coverdale, and Geoff Tate...I haven't listened to enough Judas Priest, but Rob Halford might be a natural baritone as well... |

it's great stuff...the first album has the band named The Virgos Merlot, but the second album has them as just The Virgos...both of them are really good, and, if you like Brett's voice, they are must-own items...he was ALSO in a band called The Devine before the Virgos, but it's almost impossible to find that album...I have the songs, though... |

Kiss My Disease (Virgos) is a great song to start with! If I have time I'll hook you up tomorrow, Kerry! (I'll be gone the whole day and I'm about to hit bed now...)

Don't forget that he produces music too!
I'm loving all of this appreciation of DnD. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite song...I love all of the ones mentioned thus far, plus, I love "Lean" and "That's Enough"... |

yeah, my favorite changes from time to time...I'd probably go with "Lean" or "Heal In Time" right now, though, as Will is FIERCE on those songs...also, been on a BIG Hestla kick lately, as I have been listening to The Devine and the Virgos stuff incessantly over the last week or so... |

I wonder what it would be like if Brett had stuck with Flip and Mark and he'd be the bass player of AB.

well, actually, if he had wanted it, Brett was called up to be the LEAD SINGER of what would become Alter Bridge...Mark called him and wanted him to do it, but, at that time, he wanted to concentrate on producing so that he could spend more time with his family, so he turned Mark down...however, once his "dream team" came together, he couldn't say "no"...
