I am a huge Metallica fan.

My favourite albums from them are Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, And Justice For All. Those three are so great, I can't choose my absolute favourite.

My favourite Metallica songs are:
Ride The Lightning, Fade To Black, Creeping Death
Master Of Puppets, Orion
One, To Live Is To Die, Dyers Eve
Nothing Else Matters (From S&M)

Talk about having an open mind!!!! It is obvious you don't. Why is it that you have to be a "current musician" to have an opinion on music? I just stated that I don't like St. Anger, I NEVER said it wasn't "new" or "breakthrough" music. Just because I am not in a "band" does not mean I am ignorant in this matter! So because someone does not like something that means that they don't know anything about it? Boy if that was the fact, this world would be in SERIOUS trouble!

I'm not saying that. If you are a musician it helps much more because you know what your listening to when it comes to certain music, and what the difficulties might be. I didn't mean that you have to be a musician to appreciate it but being one broadens your way of looking or listening to music.

Did you fail to read this one? I think you passed it up.

From a musicians point of view, being one since i was 5 (started out a singer, now guitar player), St. Anger sucks instrumentally and lyrically. The lyrics looks like he wrote them while he was stoned out of his mind. The guitar is lazy guitar. Down tuning that far just to constantly downpick. Its pop-punk with curse words here and there, and louder. Thats my opinion, I don't want to debate it.
