What groups did you listen to before Creed?
I'm 33 and a metalhead, but I was broght up listening to the hair bands of the 80's, that was a fun time for me. I grew up listening to KISS, Motley Crue,Van Halen, Ozzy, Def Leppard, and other groups like that. I was also really into the Christian rock group Stryper, then the 90's grunge scene changed music, I wasn't that interested anymore. But then Creed came out and I was like finally MUSIC I was hooked. To this day the only cd's that I can listen to and say I like every song are from Creed. Can't wait till 2004 where we can get together and rock some more.

I've always been into music and I like a lot of different types. I like classic rock a lot - Eric Clapton, Led Zepplin, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Van Halen. I also liked a lot of r&b/Motown music - Temptations, Supremes, Four Tops when I was younger. I also used to like more mellow music when I was younger which is stranger because I know a lot of people who were really into harder rock music as teenagers but now they like softer music and I'm just the opposite. I'm definitely a rock 'n roll girl at heart and every since I discovered Creed nothing else seems to compare with them. Like you Mr.CreedFreakTN, Creed's CDs are the only ones I can honestly say I enjoy from the beginning to the end. Rock On!!!

Like a few have posted, I used to listen to classic rock, and still do, just not nearly as much!! And like the others, I find Creed is the only group I can listen to from beginning to end - I literally love ALL their songs! I'm so addicted, it's kinda scary! But most of the music that's out there now is either so negative or "bubble gum" or rap crap, Creed is the only group that holds my attention for a very long time; I never get tired of them!

Well for me I have ALWAYS been a rock and roll girl at heart. I was a huge 80's hair band lover Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Ratt, and of course Ozzy. I have always like Classic rock form Zeppelin to Eagles. Then when the 90's hit the grunge came and I was not to impressed, I did like Soundgarden though really don't care for Nirvanva.:embarass: Then in 97 I heard Creed on the radio and it hit me like a brick wall , THE WAIT IS OVER!!!!!! I was hooked immediatley and have not stopped since! They are to me the only band I can listen to OVER and OVER and NEVER get sick of them! I also like U2, Dave Matthews etc, Metallica and MANY other groups. I just don't like Rap and old country, I like the modern country though, Faith Hill etc..... But Creed they are the ultimate to me!

I haven't thought about Whitesnake in awhile. Gosh, it's neat to hear everyone's responses. I have a CD called Power Ballads that has Mr. Big, Damn Yankee's, Nightranger, etc. on it and it is one of my favorites to listen to. I also like my Billboard 80's CD because it just cracks me up to hear some of those songs. I also remember in the early 90's when I had bangs teased up to the sky and listened to Tiffany and Belinda Carlisle. I am telling you, those pictures are a trip.

I've always been into music and I grew up in the 70s, so I was into Led Zeppelin, Yes, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Rolling Stones, The Who, Steely Dan, Tom Petty, you name it. Mostly rock. I didn't care for the 80s hair bands at all, but I loved U2 and Metallica. For me, the wait was over when the 90s kicked in. I went nuts for Soundgarden, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Live, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against the Machine, Days of the New, and of course, Creed. I still enjoy all the old stuff and as you all know, I'm a hugh Alice/Jerry Cantrell fan in addition to being a Creed freak .

Hey Hotforscott, I've got volume 1 and 2 of the power ballads cd. The one group we forgot to mention was Poison, they are definately a fun party band, and whenever they come through with the 80's bands I usually check them out and remember the past. I hear this year Twisted Sister is on the bill with them. Another group I liked was Warrant, Uncle Tom's Cabin rocked and they were good for a ballad or two.
