Re: This is an honest question. Really.
You know, I've been giving this alot of thought latey, also. If humanity were, indeed, advancing, and if homosexuality were a mutation, then by all means, it shouldn't be here, at least not in it's present frequency. However, on the other hand, the vast majority of mutations are harmful or neutral, so if it were a mutation, it would not be surprising. What does cause me to speculate, though, is how long it's been around. As far back as we have record there has been homosexuality and bisexuality. Shouldn't there be at least a dent in the homosexual population by now? Like a circle in a spiral. I can't figure it out. Not enough facts. |

Re: This is an honest question. Really.
I suppose that it is one of thoes things that only time will tell.
Giving it further thought I would say that homosexuality has 2 sides..... I know homosexuals that are so because of psychological issues cause by a truama early on. but I also know Homosexuals that have been that way as long as I have known them with no trauma (i.e. sexual abuse or something of that nature) Homosexual acts are recorded throughout history from the romans and greeks even mentioned in the bible in sodom and gamora (if you want to call that history). it seems to peak up every now and then in the pagese of history. just some observations.

Re: This is an honest question. Really.
I asked around on another board and this sounded like a possible plausible explanation too:

More theories/suggestions as to the why of homosexuality:
How does homosexuality fit into evolution?

Lol, do you like sounding dumb? No offense, but we aren't anywhere CLOSE to being the biggest species on the planet...
