I dunno, but whenever we have this discussions here, I always feel republicans attacking and cursing democrats, but the democrats are always the ones bein rational and unselfishy, think about the whole and not about a couple issues as reps do.

When you vote for President in US, your responsability is huge: you're not electing just your president, but the world's leader due all your military, economic and politic power. If US wants to do something, it will do, no matter what it costs or other people's opinions, i.e.: the war against Iraq.

Now I don't have anything against democrats or republicans. I think people should be free to choose and practice their religion, and being respected for that. I believe the environment must be preserved and global warm is not "just a cycle". We're tired from hearing about polution. But as for abortion, I agree you're taking a life. (which make me wonder what would I do if, God forbid, happened to someone I know if this one was raped or if the preagnancy represented danger to the mother and/or the baby's life).

But Bush, if you make a review of his actions, how can you still support him???

It began when he was elected with a fraud. How can the candidate that got less votes win the election? Only In America... Then he quit Kyoto Protocol. Heck, if US is out, why would other countries still be in? Let's polute this whole world.... Then Bush cut the taxes of people who are rich. Besides, he only attends big corporations' interests. Then, all the issues with medical care. Then his vice-president's and friends companies won all the big contracts for the goverment. Then he created subsidies and taxes for other countries' products (but he preaches free trade." do what I say, don't do what I do"). He invades people's privacy with new laws, he discriminates foreign tourists at airports. (Don't make me tell you what happened to my friend's grandpa at Miami Airport). His economic policies are lame and America never faced such deficits, not even during 1929-after crisis. (And BearFan wonders why democrats will have to raise taxes). He got 9/11 and turned it in a Marketing tool to boost his reelection. I agreed with the Bin Laden's haunt. But at this moment, Iraq war was unnecessary. He just wanted to finish dad's war and focus public's eye on the war oversears, instead of their own territory. He lied about the weapon's and keeps lying about it. It's been lie after lie since day one. But maybe that's just Donald Runsfeld's (sp?) directions. He seems to be the big boss.

don't think I hate him pure and simple. I disagree on his policies, that's all. I don't know him personally, but that story (I wanna say Julie?) posted about the man who lost his hands and initiaves such as promoting sex only after marriage are stuff I admired.

Anyway, that's just my opinion and I have my right to post it. I know many of you, specially Mullet, won't agree. But yet you're not obligate to accept and agree to my views.

And I'm not standing for any other candidate. I don't know them except from pics and TV, so I can't speak of them.

Oh, THANK YOU Aimmee.
I believe that apathy is a great evil - maybe the greatest terrorism to humans - and certainly the planet! When I think of child abuse, domestic violence, other neglect, abuse those other horrors that humans can inflict...Ah. it;s so sad and scary. Yet, we also have the answers - so clearly within us.

I'm thinking "no". Not to be close-minded or anything, but at least it wouldn't work in a big country like the US (hell, it didn't even work in the former USSR). Perhaps in Canada, where there's a lesser population and, I would assume, are fewer cultural differences (at least compared to the US or former USSR).

Representatives are elected by the people, for the people, so if you don’t like they way you are being represented… vote them out of office.

I'm not big on environment, so I truly do not care about the Kyoto Protocol. When it comes to the environment and conservation my opinion is "shut up, if I gave a flying fuck I'd learn about it on my own. Just take my check and go away." I do find it completely hysterical that all that 90% of the people opposing drilling in Alaska have never been to Alaska. The majority of the natives want drilling because the need progress. On top of that the land is almost completely inhabitable. But then again this never interested me so I do not know all the facts. If I'm ever chained to a tree its not because I care about it, its because I got first dibbs on it... if I’m ever at an animal rights gathering is only because I plan on taking something home with me. Like I said, I don’t care I just write the checks...

WMD. I’m from Texas so I will use this analogy. Lets say you give your son a gun for protection. He’s old enough so you know he will be responsible and you all set up in agreements that even though its his gun you have full right to take it away form him at anytime for any reason and that he will only use it for defense and with that only in drastic measures. So you go away on vacation and return some 10 years later. You catch up and make sure all things are well and then you ask him where the gun is. His response is 'I don’t know'. This is a weapon that can hurt people and cause more harm than good, how can your answer be 'I don’t know'? So he changes his story and says 'I sold it'. Fine, it was his to begin with and has full right to do so, so you ask him who did you sell it to and he responds with 'I don’t know'. How can one not know? This is a dangerous thing you just blindly sold, you have to keep records of this because you never know in whose hands this might fall in and you never know if this might be used against you. So for the sake of argument lets say your son destroyed it, but when asked for any documentation, he says he doesn’t have any. When dealing with something of that magnitude you must keep records. So now the entire neighborhood believes that only you are allowed to have a gun. That is not true, ANYONE has the right to own these weapons... its when you use them to attack others for the purpose of instilling fear into them, you lose all privileges. Yes we did put him into office and we did arm him but in case you haven’t noticed its something that happens very often in our country’s history. We invade, we destroy, we leave a giant crater, we rebuild, we put a leader in power, we arm them, the turn on us and we as magnanimous as always, send in the troops when it gets out of control. It’s a cycle; it’s inevitable, deal with it. Hasn’t been the first time and we all know it will never be the last. But hey, maybe we were all wrong and the protesters were right.

Communism is a theory based on socialistic factors. If you worked your ass off for years, facing many forms of prejudice, and after many years of blood, sweat and tears finally get to where you wanted.... why the hell should you have to share that with someone who didn't?

Hayley, you need to care, this is your future. If you turn a blind eye toward this now… 20 years from now they might be turning a blind eye toward you. It might not be pretty but the more you know now, the better off you will be in the future.

Damnit, you didnt even let me get the first word off.... jerk.
