The Band "HIM" ??? They ROCK!

Have any of you ever heard of this band? I just found out about them and they rule! They are a gothic rock "love metal" band from Finland. They've become popular in the US because of Bam Margera. Their music is unlike anything I've heard. It's so cool because it's metal but with a passionate singer and without the screaming, and heavy-as-hell guitar riffs. Please check them out. You won't regret it! (I'm not a big metal fan either)

Here's a link to listen to them. http://www.heartagram.com/music/
Listen to the clip of "Soul on Fire." Make sure you listen to the whole thing (the chorus, OMG!) It's soooooooo awesome IMO.

Might I introduce you to a little band called the Cure.

You're welcome.

Yeah, I have the Cure's new album. But HIM is nothing like the Cure. I actually like this better.

Eh, I love The Darkness, but they're pretty goofy and not really like HIM. HIM is pretty dark and the Darkness is kind of a parody group (but not really). LOL

.... or.... The Darkness is more like original metal than just about any other band today (save for the falcetto)

I really don't think The Darkness is metal... more 80's glam rock, but better.

well, '80s glam rock is sorta a subset of metal. there's all sorts of '80s metal bands that were on the glam vibe, all about looks, chicks, and rockin mad hardcore. and that's what The Darkness is all about

LOL, you guys. I like a few of HIM's songs. Some are a bit too over the top for my tastes.

I've been in Sweden since August... and I've been to Finland. My conclusion is that Finns are cooler people... but Sweden is a cooler country.
