Watching all the others go over the horizon

While i've been bathing in life

A revolution just passed
Will it be your end?
Look at the world around us
Just one fish in the sea
From Quark to Quasar
We're all keeping this boat afloat

We may be friends only because of my situation
But don't sit there drifting along the bottom
Even though your sucking me dry, your cross I shall bear
Don't you see even the anchors pass you by?

You say its the only thing that keeps you sane
But in the mirror your face is turning grey
What is that my friend?
Its your countenace crawling out of your own skin

So in these last days. so near the end
When you meet your King
What shall he say?
Fattened lamb I am pleased
Or those words no man should hear?
Depart my son I never knew you
He turns away

It could come anytime
Like a thief in the night

cool thanks heaps for the positive feedback. I had a major case of writers block trying to get started on this one but it turned out okay. Live life to the fullest. Its actually about a housemate of mine who likes his marajuna. Now I know he's not the only one but this dude has become a total waste and is doing nothing with his life and never, ever has any money except on payday.

cool thanks well what i explained is at least where it started from and how I basically saw that this dude was wasting his life. It then evolved from there and became more universal that we all need to live life to the fullest and to help myself in this area as well. Its not really about the end times, that part is really saying when your at the end of your life will you look back and regret but it does also deal when you meet your creator. Take what you want from it, glad you enjoyed it!
