heh! Iīm not stubborn!
I didnīt mean (although it might have sounded) itīs easy for beginners. But I wanted to play it so bad, that I really worked my ass on it. It took me a lot of time to learn it and I still canīt play it accurately (that 3h5p3p2 part). Iīm sure if itīs due my acoustic with nylon strings, but Iīm trying to improve it. Botton line is that if you really wanna learn a song, you have to be dedicated.

Hey Rune, good post. I agree with probably 95% of the stuff you said.

Thanks for all the info, guys. It's really helpful. Right now I'm trying to learn DSD. I can play the intro from memory and that's about it. But I'm working on it.

Say I can be kinda tough if you're new...
The chorus/beginning riff is fast moving and it takes practice to change the chords quick enough, plus the fill between the second and third repeats might be tough for you if you're not good at sliding. The verse riff is tough if you're not good at individual string picking, but the verse riff in Say I and the bridge to Are You Ready? are similar in some aspects, so i suggest if you can do one taht you try the other (the are you ready bridge being the harder of the two). The bridge isn't hard at all, just a muted open D chord.

Mark's tone was great on Say I...and the rest of the Human Clay...especially when he chugs the D5 chord.

this might sound weird, but the first creed song i learned was One Last Breath. I first learned the chorus then the intro/verses. Its not a hard song. But for a starting song i would recomend Torn or Beautiful

one last breath isn't hard to get the gist of, it's just being able to accurately play the verse that can be tough (as in hitting every single note involved)

there is a really EASY way to play Say I
it dosent sound as good as the normal way, but it sounds mostly the same and is REALLY EASY its to hard to explaned to type thu ALSO the official EASIYEST SONG to play would definatly be Beautiful that song is so dasmn easy, its just like 3 notes over, and a little easy riff.

the idea of learning a song is not how to make it easiest, it's how to make it sound the way it's supposed to

if you suck ass and play it the easy way, then you're showing people that you suck ass :P
If you suck ass, practice the song more, EVERYTHING with guitar only takes practice, how much depends on where you're at, but if you practice the song the right way, it may take a little longer but at least people won't think you suck and took the short way to playing it. I live by the words "the more you put into guitar, the more you get out of it"

Ode is too fast for me, i love to play one last breath fingerpicking iis awsome easy for me now but it took me like 6 hours straight 2 learan iitt. Try with arms wide open and inside us all withn some reverb sounds awsome. and the only reason is ur prolly bad with rythm like me
