Have you ever heard something in a familiar song that you haven't taken notice of before? I was listening to Pity For a Dime and Mark's solo just really hit me as a great piece of guitaring. Not that I didn't notice it before, but for some reason, it really struck me, and I heard notes or chords that I either had hadn't picked up on or simply hadn't heard in other listens of the song. It's a really cool solo!

It's just really neat when it happens. It's like another discovery.

That's exactly how I was with the opening sequence to What's This Life For (acoustic version). I had heard that song a million times, even in concert, but for some reason with the headphones on, the first time I heard the extended acoustic guitar opening, it brought tears to my eyes.

I notice things like this the most when I'm playing a cd on my portable disc player

I agree, Julie. Things sound so much different on headphones than they do from a stereo speaker.

LOL, Mulletman. It's old enough, because you've given it more than one listen .
