I Made a Creed VCD Today

After a lot of patience and trial and error I made a Creed VCD (video cd which can be played on dvd players) w/ 8 live performances and two videos.

For some reason certain ones worked and certain ones didn't that's why it took me awhile to finish it and figure out what ones to use.

I still think it's neat that I downloaded something from the internet, put it on a cd, and now i can watch it on a dvd player. The quality is pretty good w/ the exception of one.

The ones I tried but didn't work

- Higher (live on ABC)
- Higher (Billboard Music Awards)
- What's This Life For video
- Signs (VH1 Opening Night)
- Freedom Fighter (VH1 Opening Night)
- Bullets (VH1 Opening Night
- My Sacrifice (Tonight Show)

and some more

I still don't know why some didn't work. I really wanted to get the VH1 Opening Night ones on, but oh well. A few of my Olympic performances worked, but I'm putting them on a different disc.

You are so lucky. Good for you. I would love to have those on DVD. I just bought something similar to that off ebay that someone made. It only had about 5 songs, but I will be glad when I get it. It will be something new to watch.

it took me all morning just to figure how to record them right, then i had to play them on the DVD to see which worked, erase disk, try some more, erase disk, etc. So it was a pain in the ass, but atleast i know how to do it know.

i tried a few months ago to put videos on a cd using my cd burner software, but i just found the "Video-CD" option last night

I think I know why some worked and some don't.....there is a difference between a VCD and an SVCD. It's because there are two different kinds of MPEG's. MPEG1 (VCD) AND MPEG2 (SVCD). I don't know what program you are using, but I'm assuming you picked to make a VCD, because I'm sure there is an option somewhere on it to make a SVCD. If you picked to make a VCD, and if you put MPEG2 videos in it, they won't work. If you want a good program to convert MPEG1 to MPEG2 or vice versa, then try TMPEG Enc. Just search for it on google or something. It's a really good program for that kind of thing. So anyway, hope that helped.

i just noticed at the end of the What If performance the dubbing goes off a little, this happen with the Mu Own Prison one, then i put it on another disc and it was fine, but idk, it's no biggie

Yea, you'll notice that VCD's are really that great. The quality is some times worse than VHS and then you will have various technical problems here and there. I need a DVD burner

I know on that 2 CD Weathered set on ebay with the VCD, the music is a little off with the performance. I remember Bec having the same problem. I wanted to have it because it was a neat Creed item to get, but I guess VCD's aren't really that great.

i tried downloading that TMPGENC, but i must not have enough disc space on my computer cause whenever i tried opening the program it would get all messed up
