Did it ever occur to you that maybe we find the lyrics amazing even though you find them average? Maybe we relate to them and you don't. There's not just one truth to whether or not they have some great lyrics. It seems like you think of yourslef as the be-all, end-all godly of music critiquing.

Judging music or lyrics is not a science and it is not objective, it's subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder (or something like that).
