Ok, I agree with U2 and Green Day, as they both had big hits and both released solid albums. But Elvis Costello? Since when is he rock? Franz Ferdinand? The Killers? Open Your Eyes got every bit as much airplay as those two artists 'big' hits. And if we're basing it off of hits, where is Hoobastank? The Reason was a huge hit. If you're gonna nominate Ferdinand, Costello and the Killers, surely Hoobastank deserves a nomination.(and I don't even like them!) Okay, maybe Alter Bridge wasn't nominated because this category is the softer stuff. Let's take a look at the Hard Rock one........

Feelin' Way Too Damn Good
Nickelback

Slither
Velvet Revolver

Velvet Revolver......they deserve it. Metallica.....I suppose since they're legends. Incubus.....understandable because Megalomaniac was a hit. But Slipknot? Not deserving. The worst one is Nickelback. Since when are they 'hard' rock? They aren't. Again, where is the nomination for Alter Bridge? Open Your Eyes got decent airplay, and lots of people have raved about how great One Day Remains(the album) is. I do have an idea why Alter Bridge wasn't nominated. Apparently, the Grammy's value hits above talent, as seen by the crappy artists who did get nominations. Creed never got the amount of nominations they really deserved. So I guess it's no surprise that Alter Bridge didn't get a nomination.
