Hiding in the summer breeze with you

Letting it take us where it will

Running in the night under the stars

Bare feet across the warm grass

Until we lay in the still holding hands

Afraid to let go

Not wanting you to get away from me

And then that breeze caught your hair

Playing with it in the wind

A backdrop to your beautiful eyes

Hiding your beautiful lies

Camouflaged by your beautiful smile

And I still miss the taste of that smile

But I wont let you take me where you will

Your lingering goodbyes still kill

They still pull at my heart

And they are still tearing me apart

The memories of who we were

And the reality of who you made me

More then I used to be

But before you took it back again

And its not how it was back then

And remember your smile and its taste

One that now tastes of other peoples lips

And the stars that played in your eyes
