CALIFORNIA PPL! Please check in!!!

We had an earthquake here just a bit ago and I'm worried about our other Cali ppl. Say something if you're here and you're alright, please!

Wow! I didn't hear about that! Are you okay? How severe was it?

We're fine here in the central valley. The quake's epicenter was in Cambria (think Hearst Castle) which is on Cali's central coast between Monterey and Morro Bay. It measured 6.5 and was felt as far north as San Francisco and as far south as Los Angeles. It was even felt up around the 4,000 foot mark in the mountains east of where I'm at  It's a funny feeling having the solid earth move beneath you..

Yes, Willey, I'm fine....thanks for asking. :) It's hard to imagine living in a place where earthquakes happen often enough that you tend to get used to them. Don't think I'll ever get used to that roller coaster sensation! (even though I'm a coaster junkie when I have the chance ;))
