Spin Magazine Sept. 2000
 

Hey guys. Does anyone have this magazine? I bought one of ebay and it came in the mail 2 days ago and it is a really great article. It also has the meaning behind "beautiful" in it. I wanted to post it because I was so excited about it so I am and then I will be back on tonight to let you know about the concert because I have to go to work in a few. Here is the quote from the mag.

The writer is talking about Scott on stage during a show and he says, " He practically doubles over when he sings "Beautiful," a bitter dis of an ex-girlfriend. His eyes gleam as he reveals the story behind the song. "I'll tell you how it ended: We'd gone out a year and a half: we're in a bar: I had know idea anything was wrong. She hooks up with a guy, starts making out with him right in front of me and all my friends, grabs his hand and walks out of the bar. I was crushed"
Of course when she heard Creed's first single "My own prison" on the radio, she decided she had made a mistake. She sent Stapp flowers and told him she wanted him back. "So I did what any man would do." Stapp says. Which is? He just grins, his jaw all puffy thanks to a big waud of chewing tobacco.

I thought it was interesting. It is a great article. It talks about how Scott hasn't been happy with any of the articles written about them, positive or not.

If you have a chance to bid on one on ebay, you really should. I enjoyed it.

Then I also have bid on one on ebay that has Mark on Guitar World in 1998 sometime so I thought that would be a good one to have.

I bought that mag to Carrie but lost it in between moving from Michigan to Missouri:( I might still be at my Mom's but I'm not sure:confused:

I have that mag! Bought it right off the newstand when it was new. Good article.
