Peace is a short break between wars. It has alwasy been that way, it is here to stay. Enjoy while it lasts.

" If we do not change our direction we are likely to end up where we are
headed for. " Chinese Proverb Life is a series of choices, and I still believe that humans are evolving... |
"We used to wonder where war lived, what it was that made it so vile. And now we realize that we know where it lives, that it is inside ourselves."
--Albert Camus "There's a peace inside us all, let it be your friend" --Creed |
Went to the "Californians say No to War" rally at the capitol today and was soooo impressed by the number and diversity of folks that turned out. Grandmothers, veterans, teachers, famiilies with kids and dogs, teens, - was inspiring and uplifting to see such a mass of actively concerned people out expressing themselves making a statement for peace

Indeed, SD. I went to the one in Philly and was inspired by all the people who showed up. So much passion. All of these demonstrations were on the news, so our voices were heard. Now, if only our leaders could hear them as well. Praying that they will give peace a chance.

 Prayers help - Passionate presence and statements like yesterday helps - let's keep working from our hearts and dancing for today! :dancing:

Wars are not acts of God. They are caused by man, by man-made institutions, by the way in which man has organized his society. What man has made, man can change.
-- Frederick Moore Vinson, Speech at Arlington National Cemetery (Memorial Day, 1945) When evil is allowed to compete with good, evil has an emotional populist appeal that wins out unless good men and women stand as a vanguard against abuse. --Hannah Arendt, 20th-century German political philosopher and author The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war. --Douglas MacArthur |
