OYE (radio edit) vs. OYE (album version)
What do you think people? I know it's not a big deal, but I think the extended solo is dumb and doesn't fit. However, I like the extended intro. Overall I prefer the the radio edit of OYE though.
Whaddya think? |
I haven't heard the radio edit because I don't listen to the radio. I like the solo, and Mark rips it up live on that one. That song has grown on me a little now that I have seen AB live.

The difference between the two versions is just that at the end of Mark´s solo (at the album version) Myles doesn´t sing straight away (as he does in the radio version),there is about 3 seconds were the music continues and Myles start singing.
I prefer the album version.... :) |
Album version = better
|
My radios play the extended version (both solo and intro)
so i love my radio for that. Extended = WAY WAY WAY better, it just sounds odd because your not use to it, but once you only hear extended for a month, non-extended sounds uncomplete and like its missing something |
At first the album version sounded odd during the solo, but once i heard it a few times, i like it better!!

Album track>Radio track
Why did they mod it for the radio? |
The end of the solo in the album version pisses me off. That last measure is so annoying. It flows so much better in the single version when that part is cut out.
Other than that, I prefer the album version. |
The album version is without a doubt better!

Their so similar that it doesn't really matter for me...
at first i thought the extended solo part didn't fit, but i grew accustomed to it. However, my biggest thing is when Myle's is singing the melodic "Ooo" during the bridge. I think that sounded better in the radio edit, i don't like on the album when he hits the high falsetto note at the beginning of each line after the distortion kicks in. But they're so similar, i'm fine with either... peace and love yall... ~svens a svens~ |
