the end of a perfect circle?

was reading this brief interview with maynard the other day where he is quoted as saying apc have likely reached the end. i'll find the link but it did look legit, not one of maynard's games. if this is true, its terrible news because APC is one of the best alternative bands in the world right now. i don't know what billy will do (new singer or go solo) but it is sucky news, particulary for tool's downtime.

dont think Billy should get a new singer, wouldnt really be APC without maynard. Agree would be sad if its over for good, but if it means more Tool in future it doenst bother me ;)

I don't think we'll get more Tool though because of the length of the time it takes for them to write a record. eg:APC really only formed because of how long it was taking Tool to write a record. Its a shame because bands like Tool and NIN are so great, but take so damn long to make a record! LOL

Tool was having legal problems with its label and yeah, that tied up the writing process, so that's when APC got going. I think it's sad, too, but after eMotive, I was guessing that was the end. I remember reading there were a lot of disagreements during the writing for 13th Step and I started to wonder then if that would be the end. And wasn't eMotive just done pretty much so that they could complete their deal with the label? If they really had wanted to continue, I would think they'd have wanted to do more original music.
