Honestly guys i doubt they will even hit platinum or double platinum.. it seems people out there want bullshit like britney spears, kfed...kid rock... all that dumb shit.. people seem to have forgotten that words and music go together ...... i wish alter bridge the best but i doubt they will get recognized as they deserve.. in all honesty if creed were to reform i bet just cuz the name alone they would hit platinum with ease... guess its the sign of the times.. whatcha think?? just my opinion...

Probably didn't need a whole thread for this.

But I don't really think we should obsess over this. If it's truly about the music, then we should just relax and buy what's released. I don't think Alter Bridge is in danger of suddenly losing their contract either. Maybe I'm wrong, I dunno. I'm just tired of obsessing over the public buying Kid Rock or whatever. Did people really expect Alter Bridge to outsell more well-known artists?

If they could put out a hot single or two, sales could increase a great deal, and they could possibly at least go gold.

Someone pointed out that by releasing a song like "Before Tomorrow Comes" as a single could really help AB on both the modern rock and *ugh* pop charts. It's a very radio friendly, yet quite good track.

yeah... not that im trying to start too much its just with a band like alter bridge you got to realize the fact they are a great band and they deserve alot of recognition.. im just tired of seeing bullshit music on vh1, mtv... radio.. shit like britney spears, k-fed, kid rock, im kinda glad he got biatch slapped by tommy lee hahahhahah

I stop looking a the billboard charts...mostly crap especially in the top 100 songs or whatever its called. It reflects listeners who have no taste in, at least, decent music. Rock charts use to be a bit better than the pop but I have stop checking those as well.

will they go platinum?...I hope but I am pestimistic. They will never get over the Creed thing, does not matter how good the album is.

The real measure of how they are doing is on the road and how they are doing selling tickets and filling the concert halls and clubs.

Gold is 500,000 copies and Platinum is 1,000,000 copies sold. I could definitely see Alter Bridge selling that much.

I'm getting really tired of pop radio as well...it's the same thing over and over, I hate it. It's like a pipe pumping raw sewage into your ears.
