CreedFeed Community - Reno, NV Acoustic Show

So here is my review....

I drove 14 hours there, and because I went the Oregon way back to Idaho, 16 hours back!! Not going through Oregon again unless I intend on hunting or camping! My son and I did the VIP. We were supposed to meet at 3:15PM, but we were told that Scott's luggage was lost at the airport. We end up waiting around until 20 till 6. We saw Mitch and EROCK walking around and they were nice and waved and said hi to the VIPs. The doors opened at 6, so that left the 7 of us to share 20 minutes with Scott and the band. We were also supposed to hear 2 songs at sound check, but only got to hear Justify. No complaints, just telling it like it is. Scott was very warm. He shook my hand 3 times and genuinely seemed gracious that we were at his show. Mitch was very nice and cool. Garrett and EROCK were cool. I asked them about Submersed and they said it was all over for them and the rest of the band. EROCK didn't record on the 2nd album, so I felt bad asking him about that incase it was a sore subject. I told him I could hear him on the record though since he had writing credits for half the album. He said he didn't record on it. He stated that he and Garrett were jamming on some new tunes and to keep a look out for that.

I asked Scott if he liked the vibe of this tour better than the 06' tour. He said he did and really likes doing the acoustic shows. He asked my son how old he was and was told 6 by my son. I said 8 wink wink.....because the Casino had an age requirement of 8 years and older. Scott didn't seem to mind. He just seemed happy we were there to support him. We got to meet his wife and get posters signed by the band. We also got pictures with the band. It’s on Scottstapp.com if anyone is interested.

I asked Mitch if he liked this tour better than the 06' stuff and he said it is different with different people to play with. It is all good he said and he stated he was just happy to be getting out and playing.

Basically, everyone there really got into the show. Scott's voice sounded good. He was using a lot of spray between songs for his throat. He was a little horse, but considering he just did a show in Vegas the night before, he really sounded pretty good. We didn't get What If or the U2 song, so we didn't get to see Scott play guitar or piano. No new music. I was really hoping to hear something new. Highlights were Scott's interaction, appreciation, and genuine enjoyment to be playing for the crowd. Unforgiven, Surround Me, Justify, Rain and The Great Divide really sounded great!

In reflection, my son and I should have flown to Vegas the night before instead of driving. Too long of a drive!! Would I see another Scott Stapp show, sure. Just would like it if he or Creed would come back to Washington State, Oregon or Idaho. It seems like the Pacific Northwest gets left out a lot. Must be a weak market. :confused:

Great show. Scott is a great artist and the vibe was amazing!
