creeds next album

I wonder what creeds next cd will sound like after the band gets over some of their problems. In my opinion i think it will sound a little more like my own prison.

i'm covered with skin that peals and it just wont heal

TeriB19 12-08-2002 09:10 PM

I agree, I think it'll be heavier, much heavier.

JenRN 12-08-2002 09:11 PM

Hopefully it will be heavier!!! I believe after the year they ALL have had it is going to seriously ROCK!!!!!!:jam:

hotforscott 12-08-2002 09:37 PM

i think it will be awesome. i just cannot wait!!!!!!!

Bridge of Clay 12-08-2002 09:58 PM

I donīt know...
I like weathered better than mop...

faceless kiwi 12-08-2002 10:09 PM

I recken we are gonna hear some very heavy stuff, and some even heavier lyrics than mop.

faceless kiwi 12-08-2002 10:10 PM

But there will definately be more of a mix than mop

Creed23 12-09-2002 01:00 PM

I believe Creed is slowly evolving and the new CD will be unlike the other ones.

BrokenSector 12-10-2002 07:13 AM

I just want them to get heavier, 'cause I'm sick of all these people critisising them on their music and s'posely how they're becoming so soft...

tru2mine 12-10-2002 10:44 AM

Who cares what people say. What they sing about is real and deep whether its hard or not

creed_affair 12-10-2002 01:08 PM

I agree with you. I don't care if it hard or not. I haven't heard any Creed songs that I don't like. They have been the only artist that I can remember not skipping songs when listening to cds.

If they write with as much passion as in the past, I am sure to become an instant fan of the new album also.

creedgirl99 12-10-2002 01:15 PM

I love Creed's music and I am certain that I will love the new cd, no matter what direction they take!

shyangel 12-10-2002 01:19 PM

I agree...I will still like Creed songs no matter what direction they go. CREED #1

hotforscott 12-10-2002 01:38 PM

No matter what they decide to write about, it will be from the heart, that is all that matters. I will love it no matter what, because like it was said before there's never been a Creed song I didn't like.

BrokenSector 12-11-2002 09:49 PM

Dont' get me wrong, I mean I love them, and what they sing about. I'm jus sick of everyone critizing them. And the one thing that I wonder, if they're so bad to people..I alway through the same remark in their face...

"Why are the #1 then in hits and such for the Rock category?"

They always never have a come back on that.

Yeah I agree. These people probably like rap anyway which as no meaning at all behind it. Rap's lyrics make me want to vomit.

tru2mine 12-13-2002 12:27 AM

I cant agree there. Im a huge creed fan and there music relates in ways i never thought music would, but i also have respect for some rappers. I grew up around hip hop and although 85% of it is commercial and bullshit, there are some rappers that are talking about something and there are people who relate and you have to respect that. You got to admit that the good ones are extremely talented.

SJack5802 12-13-2002 12:31 AM

I like Lil' Romeo he got skillz

Altair 12-16-2002 11:35 PM

Expect continued evolution and advancement of ability. I believe their music will become more dynamic, not just simple hard crunch rock, but more progressive in nature, ala WGMB or Faceless Man.

IMO, Mark is the key. His rhythms are paramount: they fully set the tone and lead the harmonies. I expect his lead skills will improve and we will see more solo action from his fingers. At least that is what I'm hoping for.

As far as Scott is concerned, hopefully he will adapt to his vocal range and not try to overextend himself. He can do only what he is capable of, and it's important that he doesn't try to hide any loss of vocal ability with studio tricks. If he has lost some vocal strength, which is inevitable with age and excessive use, the vocals on the next album might be more subdued.

hotforscott 12-17-2002 12:04 AM

they are the only band i have ever seen live that sound just like their cd in person. most bands are so doctored up that the concert sucks.

DangerousDan85 12-17-2002 12:28 AM

yeah, the Wallflowers sucked at Alcatraz

hotforscott 12-17-2002 12:29 AM

yep and avril lavigne sucked on the award show. she was way off key. her cd is so doctored up.

DangerousDan85 12-17-2002 12:30 AM

I like her

creedfan47a 12-17-2002 01:03 AM

Doesn't mean she didn't suck.

DangerousDan85 12-17-2002 01:37 AM

you be a meanie

TeriB19 12-17-2002 05:52 AM

No. she really did suck. It's amazing what modern technology can do these days.

Same here. He's the one behind their sound. I look at what Jerry Cantrell has done since Alice In Chains' first album Facelift, which was pretty good for a debut. He's always had the cool harmonies and crunching rock. What he's done with guitar layering and vocals on his latest solo effort (Degradation Trip Vols 1 & 2) is miles from Facelift (1990). It's amazing and far more intricate. Every time I listen to it I discover something new. I'm hoping for the same from Creed.

Yeah maybe Eminem writes about his pathetic childhood. But listen to his lyrics, there about killing his mom. His rapping his just plain crap. All rap is mostly pure bullshit when it comes down to it.

Definitely. I think Creed will return to their most rockin' roots. They'll sound very tortured and angry, but not in the youthful, inexperienced sort of way. I think their next album will be the true sequel to MOP.

iris69 12-17-2002 10:57 PM

i always want to be surprised. i hope they grow and stretch a little musically.
it'll be good/great like always. i expect nothing less!

WARNING! WARNING! Overgeneralization alert!
:P

Seriously, there must be a few intelligent rappers out there. Take Will Smith, for instance. Not only has he made some witty rap songs which parents probably won't understand  ,
he's become quite the actor.

Also, there have been a few "spiritual" rap bands out there. Take De La Soul. They produced some far-out sounding rap back in the late 80s that was way ahead of their time: ingenious IMO.
PM Dawn also made some 'wise' music.

However, for the most part, I'll agree: rap music is quite shallow.
