Silent Teacher (Reviews)

Reviews of "Silent Teacher" can go here. I just got it from iTunes & it's a very catchy tune...sort of 'old school' Creed imo. but with amazing leads from Mark yet again!

It's really good. Mark gets two solos and scott hits a really high note. I wish I new what the lyrics were.

Lyrics (from what I could hear):

"Silent Teacher hold my hand, lead me to the promise land, like gold
Silent Teacher please define, is ordinary life, it won't be me to find it, me to find it...

I work well with my head in the clouds
I won't stumble when I walk the fine line
Can you tell me which way to go?
So I can bury it with all of my might

Silent Teacher promise me, am I who you want me to be?
Silent Teacher please define, is ordinary life, it won't be me to find it, me to find it...

I work well with my head in the clouds
I won't stumble when I walk the fine line
Can you tell me which way to go?
So I can bury it with all of my might

Can we save everyone...or do we wait until the damage is done?
Can we save everyone...or do we wait until the damage is done?

I work well with my head in the clouds
I won't stumble when I walk the fine line
Can you tell me which way to go?
So I can bury it with all of my might

I work well with my head in the clouds
I won't stumble when I walk the fine line
And can you tell me which way to go?
So I can bury it with all of my might

Can we save everyone...or do we wait until the damage is done?
Can we save everyone...or do we wait until the damage is done?"

Also there seems to be a hidden message or word at the end of the song, here's a clip...

Sounds like "Achieve" whatever that means.

Is this on Youtube?

I've promised I will not listen to the album until the 2nd of November, but since it's an exclusive, I might as well!

Looks like it's on Youtube now. Just do a search for Creed Silent Teacher.

Another great track, BTW!

I agree. It sounds different than the new stuff in a good way.

Man I love this song. This to me has single material written all over it. Good lyrics catchy beat, kinda reminds me of a Collective Soul meets 3 Doors Down sound.

Silent teacher is the best song of FC and it isn't even on CD...

I heard it YouTube and it's an excellent song. I wish it were available somewhere.

I'm listening to it right now, it reminds me of "Sister" a bit. Totally older Creed sounding.

I'm glad u said this b/c I agree it really does sound a lot like Collective Soul. It's a good song:)

Re: Silent Teacher (Reviews)

For some reason, the verse riff sounds like a hybrid of Sister and Young Grow Old.

This is just a good old fashioned rock song, i like it. It makes me think of the direction pearl jam has gone in lately as well, not that that is helpful lol.

I agree, its probably my favorite song on the album.

I think that this is one of their best songs. IMO, it should have been on the album. It's unfortunate that the only way for fans to get this song is to have pre-ordered it from iTunes.

Glad that I did! :)

This song almost sounds like it could've been off of Human Clay! Great, old-school sounding Creed. :)

Re: Silent Teacher (Reviews)

This song is 10x better than half of Full Circle.

I want to know who made the bone-headed decision to leave it off the album. :headbang:

Re: Silent Teacher (Reviews)

It's Creed's version of "Surround Me" but definitely more upbeat.

Funny how everyone says this sounds like old Creed. After really studying the song tonight anyone else think this song was possibly recored before the break up?..I mean listen to Scott's vocal rage its incredible, plus he doesn't have the raspy tone. The drums sound different than anything off Full Circle...any thought?

I think the guitar tone proves it's from the full circle sessions.

Re: Silent Teacher (Reviews)

Definitley from the FC sessions. Scott's vox are very lackluster on this song, you can even hear where they copied and pasted his vocals lol + it's heavily tuned just like the rest of the album.

we are quoting self and doind a wonderfull, job  :coffee: my review, dont wanna get off topic, i honstley hate the fact that they had to chop his voice up like that, but with recording a great sounding record can sometimes lead to alternative options to get,er done what ever works and if it works...so be it, Stapp over the last 2 years im just going to go ahead and round it up, since the release of full circle and the tour, needs to save HIS, Vocal Engery And Streneth For The Stage Where He Sounds The Best Live With The Fans....:crest: :crest:  :crest: :crest:

Yeah, I actually posted that with out listening to the song in a long time. Scott does his "spit" scream on it instead of his raspy growl or sexy verbrato : ). Man it's been dead around here.
