The Sports Thread-Play or Watch [Archive]

Hi All!

I've been through the past 10 pages or so in the Chat category and haven't found a sports thread so I thought I'd start one. I haven't been a member here all that long so if this has been done before, proceed with the tongue lashings. ;)

What are your favorite sports to play and which are your favorite sports to watch?

Mine are:

Play: Golf, Softball, Basketball & Volleyball
Watch: Green Bay Packers Football, Cubs Baseball, Golf, &
Womens Basketball.

About the only sport I really love is Football!! I'm in mourning from January til August...I don't play any, so no favorite sports to play...I also like Arena Football.

hop scotch is my personal favorite, I usually compete during the weekends against 9 year old girls at the local park

I'm 32-0-1, and that one match shouldn't have ended in a tie :mad: :mad: :mad:

my fav sports to play are swimming (if u can 'play' it) volleyball,and softball
fav to watch: hockey (red wings) baseball(atlanta braves) and high school football and basketball

I love most of the sports

to play: tennis, soccer, go-karts (hehehe), volley, basketball, handball... I played baseball twice but I loved it and if I could play gridiron (football) I´d like to be a QB or a kicker :)...badminton is fun too... swimming, ping pong!

to watch: pretty much the list above

I love to play sports much more than watch them! I love to play basketball, golf, volleyball and swim!:D Hockey is cool too!:cool:

I'm not much into playing sports (unless you count aerobic activity at the gym sports). But to watch I LOVE Baseball, I enjoy football and hockey. Tennis gets my attention on occasion. Philly teams do it for me!!

I don't watch sports. have to watch the X games because my husband does. play,I like basketball:dancing:

i like to play tennis and soccer, but i also love to go skiing.
to watch: the ones i mentioned above, basketball (the lakers), football.
i'm more the player then the watcher.

Sports were invented to be played not watched... watching sport reminds me of watching porno, really, cuz you're watching other do what you should be doing yourself... and the whole "well I cant play as good as they can on tv! I watch to see people play thsi game in a superior level!"... well people in porno are pro's too lol Some of the things they do there is as impossible for regular folks as these crazy sport plays you see on tv

That's an interesting point of view, but when it all comes down to it, I'm not athletically inclined, but I do enjoy watching...

I love baseball, hockey and football, not necessarily in that order, but it depends on the season. I follow all the Boston teams. I like basketball, but mostly just college. I'll watch golf or tennis if the big tourneys are on.

I forgot I also like to ski, but can't do too much of it for personal reasons and I also like to swim. :D

This thread is not tainted at all. Just because i compare sport with sex... we're grown up people, cant we treat that topic like any other one?
Cuz there are parallels between the two if you look hard, and I just pointed them out.

well you can parallels in a lot of things, but some are more appropriate than others.
